Which gears are for me?

I can't decide on what I should go with 4.56 or 4.88 s I have a 08 sport two door automatic with 18 inch rims and 33 inch tires. Right now I'm running 3.21 and hate it. Can I get some input?

4.88s will put you just under 2500 RPM in high gear @ 70mph, which would be pretty good. However, if you ever decide to go to 35" tires, you'll once again be undergeared.

If you think you'll stick with the 33" tires (which are actually 32s, in all likelihood), then go 4.88. The 4.56 just isn't enough of an improvement on the 3.8L automatic trans Jeeps, IMO.

I had 4.88 with 33's I loved the setup for town driving, wasn't as big a fan on highway. Went to 35's and liked the 4.88's much better.

IMO, 4.56 are useless in the 3.8L. I would go 5.13

If you plan to go to 35's one day, I agree with Dan do 5.13. I wouldn't go less than 4.88 tho on an auto
