I just returned my RC lift kit, looking for something better . I have a 2010 JKU Rubicon. I'd like to do a 3"-3.5" lift I'm looking to spend between 700-1500 on a lift kit. What are my best options? I've been looking and can't decide.

Rock Krawler, AEV and Teraflex seem to be the most favored brands on here... I went Rock Krawler with my new lift to replace my teraflex one which I had some issues with the springs sagging over time. I'm waiting on my replacement diffs before I install the RK kit though, Teraflex and RK both offer full lifetime warranty on their kits, If I'm correct I think AEV warranty is only 12 months

Buying from a Vendor who is actively on the forum is also a big plus in my books!:drinks:

Before I tell you what brand I have you have to ask yourself what will you be doing the most with your Jeep. Is it a daily driver with an occasional off road trip thrown in there? Is it just a weekend warrior? Is it strictly for off roading? Is it for overland, rocks, a mixture of both? Once you know that then you can narrow down a company that you like. For me mine will spend most of its time on the road with an occasional Rausch Creek romp. I chose Metalcloak for the comfort and because they have one of the longest wheel travel on their control arms. I like rocks and trails with huge ruts and an occasional water crossing but nothing too deep to leave skid marks on my underwear LOL. The above mentioned companies have withstood the test of time and are all reputable and quite frankly anyone of them will do. They all improve on stock suspensions and provide better ride quality and more wheel articulation.

Have you taken it out on the rocks without a lift yet? The purpose of a lift is to fit bigger tires. The purpose of bigger tires is to get more clearance. Are you playing on boulder size rocks or bowling ball size rocks? A 2.5 lift is plenty to run a 35 inch tire. Suggest reading the tech stickies about lifts and tires - all million pages.

Can't go wrong with RK.

If you are set on 3" how about a Rancho set up. Start with their 3" Sport system and add the desirable RS9000XL shocks and the Rancho control arm drop brackets... Looks like a nice on and off-road 3" set up to me for just over $1k.

Rancho Part S/DShockingRS9000XL - Rancho RS9000XL Series Shock Package - 4 Wheel Drive

Rancho Part RS66106B - 3 Inch Sport Lift Kit - Fits 2007 to 2014 Jeep JK Wrangler, Rubicon and Unlimited - 4 Wheel Drive

Rancho Part RS6250B - Control Arm Correction Brackets - Fits 2007 to 2014 JK Wrangler, Rubicon and Unlimited - 4 Wheel Drive

I linked 4wd's website, but Quadratec also handles RANCHO.
