There is only one Procal and it is made by AEV. There is a Flashcal that it made by Superchips. Both can be used for tire size and gears. My money goes to AEV, very rarely hear of issues. The Superchips has been known to cause issues.
I have the AEV ProCal and have been very happy with it. It's very simple to use and has worked for everything I have needed it for. Reprogramming tire size and the TPMS worked very well and was easy to use. I have not re-geared but it has provisions for adjusting gear ratios as well. I'm sure other similar products work well but I have been happy with this one..good luck.
AEV ProCal uses dip switches to change the settings. Having been in the computer field for over 30 years those are no problem for me but some people don't like them.
The FlashCal has a digital screen where you adjust the settings. I can't speak too much about it as I've never used one.
The ProCal to me is as simple and reliable as it can get. Set the switches, turn the ignition switch to on but not running, plug it in and listen for the horn to honk. Turn the ignition switch off and remove the ProCal.
Procal is still worth the money. You could always look for used to save a little bit. (just make sure the owner returns their vehicle to stock and clears the Procal for use on another vehicle)
did some searching and found pro cal simple and easy
would jeep accessory stores "rent" one or charge to reset stuff
rather than buy one
does it void the warranty?
