Unhappy Which spare tire carrier to buy

Hello all! I've installed my 2.5" lift and are looking forward to larger tires. The problem is the spare. Which spare tire extender/holder do you recommend so that I don't bend my hinges on my rear door. I have a 2012 JK Sarah. My son is urging 35" tires, I'm thinking of 33's. I do offroad, but not hard core rock crawling.

I just ordered the Ace Pro Series rear bumper with tire carrier. It's reasonably priced and based on all the positive comments on this forum about Ace products the quality should be fantastic. I have 35's too.

That is just one option out of hundreds. Good luck and happy tire carrier hunting!

never heard of the Jeep Sarah. must be a new model? oh, you mean the sahara? JK!

there are so many options for a tire carrier. you can get bumper+tire carriers or just oversize tire carriers. a few people on here are opting for just the tire carrier (from what I've been reading). it's the Teraflex hinged tire carrier, it's $400 I think, but it doesn't require a new bumper and holds up to a 35" tire just fine, apparently (I do not own one).

if you think $499 is expensive, go check out the rear bumpers that come with tire carriers.....woah.

and yes, ACE is the more reasonably priced bumper+tire carrier combo, IMO.

If you go with 33" tires, you really won't need a new tire carrier.
