Question Which wire can I cut to disable tailgate power lock?

Below is a picture of the 4 wire plug going into the power lock actuator inside the JK tailgate. I am wanting to put a switch in-line on one of these wires to disable the power lock when I want to. I am assuming the black wire is the ground, and that I could just put a switch on that one, but just wanted to see if anyone knew for sure that this would work.

And for those that are going to ask why, it is so I can disable the tailgate power lock at the flip of a switch, so I can have the top off, with a secure storage lid, but someone won't be able to just walk by and hit the power unlock switch and get in there.

What year is it? On the newer Jeeps the unlock on the door is disabled a few seconds after the Jeep is locked with the key FOB just for that reason.

(actually, it might be all JKs - not sure)

I am going to put my tail between my legs, take a big old gulp, and say "I am not the brightest crayon in the box today", haha!

I own an LJ, not a JK. The JK is my bosses. But yes, I went out, timed it, and it looks like 16 seconds is the magic number. I wasn't waiting long enough to try the lock/unlock button. With that said, my problem is solved without any switches!
