So those of you that have white jeeps......Why? Why the color white?
All white, or white with a lot of black accents.
White Jeeps = reminds me of NGO or UN vehicles driving around 3rd world or conflict zones. Which I like as worked for many NGOs before overseas, and always had white SUVs or Pick Up trucks. TO me, white Jeeps look best with a black top, black fenders, black wheels, much all blacked out. I really wish though Jeep would bring back the Stone White color though.
Still have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma, white. Amazing how the color/finish still looks good after 14 years.
My Jeep is white with black fenders, top and wheels. White does not show the scratches you get from brush while off roading. Darker colors show the scratches. That was the primary reason for white. I would have liked bright yellow, but that was not available when I got my Jeep. My wife wanted red, but the red at that time was not good and it shows the scratches. The compromise was white.
White has been my first choice for my first JKU build coming early next year, still trying to decide Sport S or Willy's W, not really liking the black grill though. I do think black contrasting parts like roof and fenders help the look of white.
I went with white with the black trim and top. I like the contrast between the white and black. Its simple and clean and doesn't reek of "look at me". Plus its much easier to color match a trailer.
My 2017 JK Sport S is white with black top, fenders and antenna. The wheels are silver and the SR-A tires came with fine-line white letters. I'm as happy as an NGO in an M1-A1....
Long ago, I had a tan CJ-7 and painted it appliance white with cans of Rust-Oleum spray paint and later did the same with a 2-door Montero. In fact, of 34 vehicles I have bought for my wife and myself, at least 19 have been white - so I guess you could say I prefer white..... particularly with black trim. Generally, I find them more comfortable in southern summers and easier to keep looking clean - but I doubt the new JK with a black JK top will be easy to cool.
:iamhappy:
I like the white with the black accents. Of the color options available in my area without having to order or have something shipped in, it was an easy choice. If I upgrade my wheels and tires someday I'll likely get black rims. I do like the burnt orange color alot but I would have had to buy used. I'm happy with white--black roof, fenders, bumpers.
Coming from a dark blue silverado that looked dirty 2 days after washing it, I decided I wanted a lighter color.
It's not as exciting as other colors, but I can go with any accent color I want and it'll look good.
I'm stock for now, but the new bronze fuel wheels that came out are calling my name.
also thinking about painting the hardtop a spice/tan color
Because our other one is True Blue. We thought being white it would be cooler in the Texas sun, but guess what. When you run a black soft top, black fenders, black poison spyder hood louver, so much for cooler. We like it though
I never liked white on anything. Remember the late 80's Dodge Rams? Hideous! The Navy had a ton of them, in white! So, never liked white, until... I saw a white Willys on a truck leaving Jeep plant (I drive past almost everyday). I thought I really wanted a Tank color in '15, and it's nice, but I had to scope the Jeep plant parking lot to see one.
Local dealer was really wanting to work a price with me and I was really stuck on a Hard Rock. They had a white one. Sold! Now in my subdivision there are currently 3 more white Wranglers. Oh well.
Pic is in Gatlinburg, early October. God help them.
I have white with black fenders bumper hard top etc. I love the white/black contrast. Having said that, I think having a white hard top and white fenders is hideous.
Initially, with my previous Jeep, it just happened to be what I could get. With the second one, partially being not picky, mostly, the white with black accents/roof/fenders/bumpers/wheels looks awesome. Next one might be silver tho, for the same reasons.
when i ordered mine, i wanted the burgundy color but they no longer were painting that color. so i chose white and am really glad i did. so much easier to take care of, plus looks great
White because when I ordered they only had the normal run of colours. Coming from a blue truck and my ex has my red JKU white was my go to choice
Hides the scratches nicely but I do get envious of colours sometimes

My 2012 Rubicon was Bright Silver, and I did like that color just fine, but I've always been partial to white vehicles, so when I ordered my new Willys it just had to be white. Like a couple others mentioned the contrast with the black fenders, roof, grille and wheels looks great, and it hides the trail scratches really well.
Like someone else said, I dont want a color that says " hey, look at me" i'd rather blend in. And the current white that Jeep is using looks fantastic compared to some other shades of white out there.
Love that first shot Sig, reminds me of me in my younger days(70's)!
We had this lake, and a bunch of crazy guys with CJ5's and 2A's, and a bet, and such great times trying to ford that lake. Budweiser, bikinis, and a few other things!!!
Everyone's Warn 8274 got used,,,,,,, a lot!!!
Great times!!!
I saw a white Jeep with black accents and fell in love. I bought my own white a year after. 3 years STILL like it a lot. Would not mind bright yellow color now that colors grown on me. Also like how white masks pinstripes i have all over the sides. Gotta have microscope to see them [emoji1]
I have the Willys as well, the tires do ok in the rain. They can get a little iffy when you drive too fast on curves but not too bad. I just stay aware of what I'm driving on and it's fine.
You can always put a Yeti in the back and sell ice cream on slow days....
