Consider if you are doing corners too. If you need the extra clearance, metal cloak are the obvious choice. Price and aesthetics(
) ultimately left me choosing between Poison Spyder and River Raider. Obviously neither of these are cheap either. Went with Poison Spyder because of supposed superior fit on the corner. River Raider required a lot of chopping and still left with gaps, although I prefer the recessed taillights.
I already had the ps brawler rockers, so I knew the ps corners would work well. I didn't install them myself... I let the body shop that painted my hood take care of it, as the rockers were enough of a beating for me. The body shop bitched a little, but did a nice job in my opinion. Fit was still a little off in their opinion. I explained the compound curve of the JK and they agreed that it is tough. I chose to go with one rear hole for the tail lights. I ordered some other LEDs that I wanted to try, but ultimately for simplicity just used the ps brake lights. My rear bumper has back up lights already. The rear lights are angled out as they appear. The body shop was a little concerned. I wasn't.
The flairs are solid. The tech was able to modify and reinstall the front spash guard to help keep things a little cleaner. Strength is solid. Standard width flairs and tire coverage with 12.5 width on rugged ridge wheels is adequate. Enough to keep you legal in most places, but not enough if you are someone that likes a clean jeep.
All in all they are solid. I would buy again, but I also wouldn't hesitate to purchase the metal cloak to try them out. Good luck.
