Who's soft top leaks right above the door handle/lock?

Hasn't rained much here in San Antonio. Storm blew in this AM with a bunch of rain setting my alarm off like crazy (winds between 40-50 MPH) with rain coming down in sheets. To my surprise the top only leaked where the door frame and soft top meet just above the door handle/lock. I'm thinking maybe I just need to put some weather stripping there. Any other suggestions? BTW It's been to the pay and spray car wash with no leaks before. Maybe it was just because of the heavy rains? IDK

Mine also Leaks on the passenger door. I cant tell where exactly, but I had standing water the door handle this morning in Austin. Some storm! we needed the rain though. I am taking mine to the dealership on Sat to get my brakes looked at and I'm going to bring this up as well. I'll let you know what they say.

In particularly bad storms it's not unusual for mine to leak at the same spot on each door. It's also not unusual for it to stay dry, so I have no idea.

It rolled through here about 9:30ish, could really here it through the roof of the school. My kids practically freaked out like they never heard rain or thunder before. When I finally got to look outside (no windows in my room). It looked like night time 'cuz it was Sooo dark. But we really needed that rain, been in stage 1 water restrictions which really sucks.

I just got my Jeep a couple weeks ago and had our first significant rain yesterday. Mine is leaking in the exact same spot on the passenger side. I think it's doing the same on the driver's side too, but it was pouring when I opened the door, so the whole door got kinda wet, so it was hard to tell.

I dried it up before I started driving and it kept leaking down the window, right above the handle/lock the whole time it was raining.

It blows in the top of the door surrounds and then runs down the edges on the inside and sits in the little groove. if you pull up on the window it lets it drain out. you can probably use some weather stripping somehow to secure it. I know mine does, but its not really a big deal. ive only had one puddle this year.

Mine leeks from the passenger side, but it depends on how much it rains and how the wind blows. I just unpluck 'Max' and we are just fine

Mine only leaks on the passenger side, which isn't a big deal for me except that's where the hubby rides & he nit-picks the Jeep for everything. "this thing is slow, it rides rough, it's too hot, it's too loud..yadda yadda yadda.......

Well, he's a pretty good person otherwise...besides, he does support my Jeep habit. We've spent more on the Jeep than his stupid Miata. He forgets that the Miata used to be the mistress.

The factory soft top leaks a tiny bit over the door handle when I run it thru the high pressure car wash. I've only been in one hard, blowing rain and it was hitting the right door and had no leaks.

Eventually we're going to get another rain.

Any solutions to the leak in the 2007 soft top? I have reseated the surrounds and the top a few times with only limited success. Has anyone actually solved the issue or used weatherstripping successfully?
