Why are there no real ram-bull bar bumpers for Jeep JK?

I've been looking for a couple of months now, and I cant seem to find any company that makes a true Ram bullbar bumper for the jeep JK.

The closest I've gotten are the JCR bumper but that still isnt what i'm looking for.

I'm looking for something similar to my ARB bumper on my Defender 90:

http://motoring.ninemsn.com.au/img/m...nder-110-1.jpg

or the TJM bumpers for any of the vehicles they make them for:

https://www.tjm.com.au/sites/default...3l85a-01_0.jpg

Is there something I'm missing here?

Why is there no one who makes this?

Genright might have something. I've seen some of theirs similar except they had a stinger as well. Maybe they have a non-stinger version.

Thanks for the replies.

I've looked at both those. I'm more interested in functionality rather than looks.
Basically a vehicle width solid bull bar is what I want. Will also facilitate having limb Risers.

I guess the question I have is, am I missing the reason why out if the million people who offer jeep parts, no one makes this. But for other 4x4 vehicles, it's available?
Is this inherit to the jeep jk design?

You might want to contact Ali Arc, they build them for Semi's and more recently fullsize pickups, they are expanding their line up. Based out of New Zealand and Canada. I have had a couple on my Semi's over the years, all aluminum and very well built, deer just bounce off of them, short box lifted 4x4 dodges not so much but it still protects your hood and rad.

I think the ones posted LOOK close to what I'm looking for, but I doubt they have the stoutness to do what a ram-bar does. Basically, if you look at the pictures I posted, the bumpers have this bracket/brace pair in the center that prevents the bull-bar frame from deforming back into your radiator, that is what i'm looking for.

I dont like that they are aluminum, but the design is exactly what i'm looking for. Their bumpers have the two front ram-brackets that keep everything from smashing back into your engine bay/radiator.

I guess I dont understand why no one makes this type of a bumper for the jeep jk. I would like to think its because I dont know enough, and that there is a fundamental problem with this design on a jeep JK before I go look for the unobtainable. so can anyone she some light as to why I'm the only one looking for this on a JK, but they make this type of bumper for trucks and other SUVs the world over ?

Bull bars are intended more for pushing. Ie bulling your way thru. I had a set on my Bronco. They were good for push starting a vehicle . As well as unsticking some one in too deep of snow.

If thats what you want, then you want a pre runner style bar. There is no chance they will bend back into your radiator. The JK doesn't need the bumper fully wrap around because unlike most vehicles you mentions, the JK fenders are meant to tear away without causing body damage. I can "ram" with my bumper just as much as the ones you posted pics of....

This thing ain't bending back into the radiator.

Like this? I know it's not a bumper but I think it would work.

The only thing that would do is leave it's imprint in the Jeep if it ever actually hit anything. Probably need the jaws of life to get it out lol.

Bumpers like this will bend right over, and damage the radiator, the hood, and both fenders. If you truly want to protect the body and radiator, you need a bullbar that faces AWAY from the Jeep, like the one in my pic above.

Aries grille guard. Strong enough to bounce a Pt cruiser off. And still be usable on another Jk. Not the prettiest but functional.

Some good bumper suggestions. I like the Jaker_JK and the NFRs2000NYC bumpers. They are close but not quite what I'm looking for. I guess I do want a true Ram bumper for pushing and I do want it the full width. I will start looking into a local fab shop. If anyone has a good shop they can recommend in the los angeles area, I'd much appreciate it.

This is exactly why I like them. I even used the one on my land rover to knock down a cinder block wall once. They are just a good thing to have on an overland/SHTF vehicle.

Now, why am I the only one who wants one on a JK. Or are there enough of us who can grab the attention if a manufacturer and have them offer up a model.

That looks almost like what I'd like, with the exception of it is not a full width bumper.

It looks a little too close to the front of the jeep though..is it?

He is the side view. This is a grill guard that goes over the factory bumper. In my first photo the factory bumper is cut to stubby.

The reason why is that it's not "in style." The Rock Crawler look is "in" so you see Stinger bumpers all over. The Bull bar has gone the way of the tub bumper.

From reading this thread so far....I am thinking that no one in the Jeep world really makes what you are looking for.

Correct me if I am wrong....what you want is this

Basically a bumper made to work...(IE to push), with a relatively broad area for contacting an item.

The answer is probably pretty simple....for the cost of most quality bumpers (maybe a little more), you could probably have one made.

Even in the FJ40 world, true bull bumpers are a prized possesion and not when they come up on the market...they get snatched up.
