My 8 year old LOVES cruising and looking out for the next wave. And when he sees a Hummer he says "look at that piece of junk" and points to it. VERY obvious when top/doors are off!!!! hahaha

Page four. A record in the "official wave thread" era?

Outta control.

Honestly here in PR All Jeepers wave except as mentioned before "The Snobs". Those with rides tricked out to the extreme but are afraid of potholes and puddles.

Those D-bags feel superior to everyone and will look at you give the wave and literally ignore you.

Just in case i ain't saying all ppl with tricked out rides are like this but in PR it is a clear 80% the other 20% have Jeep accessory shops LoL ::

There may be different reasons why women don't wave. Forget the jeep part; many guys are jerks and call out to or honk at women all the time. So many have learned to ignore this for safety reasons. Can't say I blame them. However, that said, a jeep wave should be the exception

Washington state has NP giving out waves. I have noticed in Yuma,AZ people down here don"t. Not sure if it"s because every other vehicle on the road is some type of jeep or just really old people(snow birds) not understanding how it works. I love the waves gives my ego a boost......

I certainly was not trying to turn it into a male/female thing, it is just what I noticed when I do not get a wave back.

I always wave first and then really only look at the Jeep model or driver if I do not get a wave back. Frankly I get just as many waves from JKU as I do from any other model, maybe it's more a locality thing. There are a whole lot of Wranglers in the metro Indy area.

Threw the wave to an old man driving a 35' motor home pulling a nice TJ, he smiled, returned the wave, and gave me a thumbs up. He knows what's up!!

I believe a good majority of non-wavers are clueless to the family mentality some of us jeepers share.

You wave, then for the rest of their drive they sit and wonder if they know you or not. I think its funny.

Had to go pick up a camera lens that fell outta my Jeep the other day. Luckily my neighbor found it out by the road.

A fairly cheap one. $600. No damage, except for a busted neutral density filter...but that's what the filter's for.

Musta gone out right under one of my tube doors. Didn't even know it was in my Jeep. Didn't even know it was gone, for that matter.

Excuses...we need your expertise here especially for threads of this caliber.

Who cares if people wave or not. I personally have never been waved at in my JKU and I passed 20+ TJ/JK's just yesterday. Even if they did wave it wouldn't matter because I have dark tint on mine so they wouldn't see me wave back anyway.

No kidding.

When I worked @ the Post-Dispatch, a photographer (who shall remain nameless) left one of those on a street corner while shooting a Prez candidate's visit. Store owner picked it up, saw the engraved tag on the lens, called us...

Same photog drove her company car dead-bang into a curb one day when about 3 of us were in the parking lot loading up gear for a Cardinals playoff game.

Good memories.

Yeah...I propose a new, theoretical thread called "WF without mods."

Talk about chaos.

i think its based on ignorance and because the jk & jku appeal to wider audience now, many that buy just don't know or don't get it or bought it for the wrong reason.

I am, but I generally keep those locked up, unless I'm at the range, and even then I transport em in hard cases. Mostly.

I dunno, the guys who I wheel with seem to all wish they had JKUs if they only have JKs, and most of them all have JKUs. Better approach angle, better ability to break over as well. Most of them have zero reason to even have the 4 doors; they chose them just because it's better to wheel with in our area.

Oh, is this a wave thread? I stopped waving pretty soon after I started. I see all the same jeeps, and most don't wave. However I always wave back when someone waves to me, and I'll toss a wave to the trail gear rigs I see

I get about a 50/50 return rate on waves in the Portland area. I thinks its the damned hippies... they don't like waving.
