Recent conversation with my girlfriend while walking to the jeep:
"Are you dating me or the Jeep?"
"I'm dating you, I'm married to the jeep"

Years ago I bought two British MC's from a guy whose girlfriend gave him the "bikes or me ultimatum".
Shortly after she left anyway.
I think there's a valuable message in there somehwere.

Fortunately, my wife has owned 2 Jeep Wranglers and a Grand Cherokee before we met. When I told her I wanted to trade my car in for a Jeep, she was pretty excited. I know she misses her Jeeps. She's a good wife. For her birthday a couple of years ago, I bought her a zero-turn lawn mower, and she loved it. Last year, I bought her a horse trailer. She has no problem with me modding my Jeep.

My wife thinks fixing up the kitchen is needed more than a lift and tires.

She hates my jeep. esp when i take the top off and doors.

I tell her I don't love the jeep more than her just in another way.

Sounds like you won't be dating much longer!

My wife tells me over and over again, life's too short! If you want something, get it...As long as the bills are paid, the kids are fed and no one is knocking on your door looking for $$$ then giver...

I'm lucky, my wife loves going wheeling with me. Best excuse for things is "family safety". Yep honey we need that [insert part name] to make the jeep safer

"Your Jeep has a perfectly good bumper why do you need a new one?" uhm you have a pair of shoes and a pocketbook why do you need a new ones? I had this exact conversation this weekend.

Haha, yep, I can count the number of pairs of shoes I own on two hands. The wife has multiple pairs that all look the same to me

Back when I bought our '06 TJ sport from a used car lot it had a bike rack on the spare.

The first thing I did was take it off and scrap it. The wife comes out and says "You made it look less adventurous, what are you planning to fix that?"

This time around with the '12 Rubi she says "When are you going to make this into a Jeep?". She followed with "So are you going to line the interior and pull the plugs?".

She gets it 100%....

My wife didn't really like the LJ Rubicon I had. She never wanted to ride in it. Now I have a 2012 JKUR and she LOVES it. Hmmm, i think it is the heated leather seats, navigation, auto transmission, and power everything that my old Jeep lacked. I'm sure when I take the top off she will complain about her hair getting messed up still though. In her defense though I did get her to actually drive some of the trails in the LJ last year and she had a blast...

I have the opposite problem. My wife loves Jeeps so much that I had to get her one if I bought one (both our leases were up at the same time). The same goes for any mod that I want to do, she wants the same on hers. The other day I caught her going through the new spring Qudratec catalog I got in the mail.

When my 12 JK followed me home, my wife was pissed off big time. Needless to say, 4 days later i bought her a new 2012 GMC Terrain. Now all is good, well except for the payment part.

Thumbs up My wife says it's your hobby, get what you want, plus

she loves riding in the Jeep. Then she drops this bombshell on me last week:

When we get the car paid off, I think we should get a NEW 4 door Wrangler.

She really does rock!

My only question to her was "Where am I going to get the extra 5 grand I need for mods?"

I think I will keep her!

So I brought the JK home one night unannounced for an over-night test drive. When I told my wife what I had parked in the garage and was thinking about buying, she asks for the keys to take it out for a spin herself. After waiting 30 minutes for her to return, I knew this was gonna be no problem ....

i have a really tollerant better half. i switched vehicles 3 times in 4 years. i was looking at ram expresses when the arctic hit the dealer lot. we were both like "oh wow, wth is that? that is sharp!" test drove it and fell hard for it. we both agreed i could but a ram anytime, but the jeep arctic is limited. she loves it. and was really glad to see me get back into a icon.

My wife thinks I'm obsessed with the JKUR and it hasn't even been delivered yet. I'm on here all the time and on the jeep parts websites constantly, but she is on board and can't wait until it arrives.

She had busted my chops when I bought my 01 Ram 2500 with the cummins, quad cab with an 8' bed. She said "you're going to look like a midget with that truck" (I'm 5'6). I told her I need a big truck so I can haul her fat ass around. Her ass isn't fat, but all of them think thier asses are fat.
