Wild boar grill and tuffy hood lock

Hey everyone I'm looking at the wild boar grill, I know people are hit or miss on how they look but I think there cool as hell but my question is with the tuffy hood lock I have installed will I be able to unlock it with this grill. I see the top part of it comes down a few inches more then the oem one and the slots are smaller, I've never seen one up close in person is there enough room to get my hand in the slots and get the key up to the lock or is it gonna be too tight, or will the grill not even fit because of the lock

Yes you can. They have a groove in them for the hood locks. So while it looks like the Bushwacker fender is laying over the top of them, it isn't, it just looks like it is in all the pictures you see.

Also: I think the angry grille looks awesome and I am ordering one. Liked the look of them for quite a while.

They don't strip the engine, but they do like batteries.

I actually read a thread on here yesterday about a guy who's jeep got broken into 3 times. Opened the hood, thieves bypassed the power locks with some batteries.

There is a plethora of stuff under the hood that can be easily stripped besides the engine.

Only think I can think is maybe there is enough room to get your hand in the slot and reach it

My apology, I meant there was a groove for something else, completely got the wrong part. Wow, I can tell I was tired.

I actually emailed wild boar asking this question not too long ago. They said this grill is not compatible with aftermarket hood locks. I was bummed cuz I like this grill as well.

Don't they have locking hood latches as well? I love the wild bore grill but right now I have a hood lock and I'd either have to wait until I move out Chicago were it's not parked on the street every night or look into locking hood latches but I hear the salt can mess them up over time.m

That sucks maybe if I can see one in person I can see if you can cut or modify something but maybe the latch locks are the way to go

I got mine mostly because I didn't like the hood flutter at higher speeds. It was real bad with my 2000 TJ so I got a hood lock for my JK even before it got here.

Why not email Wildboar directly instead of "hoping" for an answer?

Word of advice about this grill.....If you will be painting it plan on about 15 hours worth of body shop labor to fix the pin holes, orange peel, and waves in it. Horrible quality.

If you are going to Bedliner it its no big deal, it will cover it all up.

I don't think that's a wild boar grille.

Looks like one of the eBay ones.

Yeah, not the wild boar one I do not think unless you modded the ventilation section.

I'll pipe up - I ordered and installed the Bushwacker Trail Armor Hood Stone Guard and tailgate protector set from Amazon and I love the look. It is supposed to deflect bugs, but I actually saw more windshield splats after installing it. Either way, I like it. If you look it up on Amazon, the picture they show is NOT what you get. They show something weird in the picture, but it is the right part number and what I received was correct.
