Angry Will 4door fuel door fit my 2door?

The other day I ordered the mopar fuel door for my 2 door JK off amazon. After I ordered I read a little more about it. I noticed it then says "fits 07-13 JK Wranglers"

The link --> 2007-2013 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door Black Fuel Filler Door OEM : Amazon.com : Automotive

Will this fit my 2 door? I don't see why it wouldn't! If it wont I guess I will make plans to give it to my girlfriends dad (who has a JKU).

The tab that fits into the hole may be rotated by 90 degrees.

Mine was wrong. Just clipped the tit off. Its been on there for 5 months no issues. If I try I can move it, but opening and closing no issues what so ever. If it was an issue I think a dab of RTV would keep it in place.

You didn't buy the JK either. Just the cheapest one. Hope it will fit. :-)

yep, they are different, dealer gave me the 4 door one first a bit of cussing and I decided to take it back and get the correct one. This seems to happen a lot. For $100 or whatever it is, I would get the right one so it fits without moving.

I bought one from a guy on the net and also had to clip the little plastic piece off but otherwise fits perfectly. Not sure why they would put the little hole in a different spot for the 4 doors but they do. Had it on for 7 months now with no issues.

Take out the tail lamp, pop the retaining tabs loose (same as New door) take out old and install new in reverse order.

yep, they obviously can't write words at Chrysler. All their products just have horrible drawings. Always do a search for an install thread.

There's actually a YouTube video on how to install it. Clearly shows step by step with corny actors.
Got it done
Thanks
