will disabling traction control mess anything up?

i spent my weekend off roading at silver lake sand dunes, and i completely disabled my traction control "ESP" and cant seem to get it to go back. i dont mind having the light there and the ringing noise on start up, but will it screw anything up? even warranty wise?

After offroading it sometimes can take a day or two for it to "reset" in the computer, should not be an issue.

You can try the battery disconnect technique.

Next time reach behind the front shock tower and disconnect a wheel speed sensor. Quick and easy way to disable ESP/TC

ESP/BAS, T/C, ABS

I tried to disable ESP/BAS on my 09 several times and never got it to work. Over the weekend, I decided to see what disconnecting the sensor in the console would do and it disabled every "safety feature" that uses the brake system, including ABS.

I'm not willing to go without ABS at this time, so I plugged it back in.

you can put in an esp kill switch by tapping a wire behind the dash (theres plenty of write ups) When you turn it off you loose the ABS as well, to turn everything back on all you have to do is turn the switch back on and restart the jeep.

This is the method i have been using for about a year. No issues with my 12 manual trans and its quick and easy (and cheap)
