Will my stock spare tire carrier fit a 33?

I have ordered 5 17" x 9inch wide wheels with 4.5" backspace They are wrapped in Cooper stt 295/70R17's will the stock spare tire Carrier with the brake light fit this wheel tire combo? it will be for my 2012 JK Sahara 2 door. It has the factory P255/70 R18 on it now. I am looking more at the clearance from the bottom of the tire and the molded indent in the rear bumper will it rub when opening or closing? If so do they make an adjusting kit to raise the tire up? Any one run into this?

Thanks

Dave

There's tons of adjustment brackets out there. It moves the tire out an inch and up 1 and 3/4 of an inch.

Here is how mine fit. 305/70/17 on stock Rubicon wheels.
Clearance of brake light. Your's should be a bit shorter.

Bottom of mine barely rubs, but fits. Your's should just clear.

Your's will also fit further away from the tailgate, since you have more backspace. Mine just fit and has the bumpstops smashed pretty good to get the lugs tight. I have since added a Smittybuilt adapter bracket, which moved it up and out about 1 1/2".

1.5" Teraflex coil leveling kit! But I only have the new rear coils on right now because the front sway bar links were left out of my package from Quadratec.

I hope the new links arrive tomorrow too so I can install those as well.

I have my stock 33x15x12.5 on my stock carrier. Fits great and still about 2 inches oh space between the top of the wheel and the bottom of the brake light.

If you are going to replace the sway bar links, you may as well put in discos right now (if you have the funds).

My 285/75R17 Toyo Open Country AT II's fit on my stock carrier. The brake light just fits and the tire appears to somewhat be resting on the bumper when closed, but I haven't had a problem yet.

Fits great. You may opt to get longer bump stops but I haven't noticed any rattling.

305/70/17s. (34s) Added 1 1/2" PVC pipe w/cap to stock bumpstop to space it. (My Daystar bumpstops broke immediately).

I have a 315 on mine and it barely fits... Kinda rests on the bumper a little which I think gives it a little extra support. I had someone watch as we were out wheeling and they said that it did not shake at all.
