Will this void my warranty?

I am about to change my Axle fluid for the first time and I bought Mobile 1 full synethic 75W-90 gear oil. The manual says use 80W-90 but the store people told the 75W-90 would be fine. Will this void my warranty? I'm sure the axle fluid at the dealership will be at much higher cost plus not sure what I can do with this gear oil I already bough then.

I don't think they'll be able to tell the weight of fluid by looking at it. Just omit the fact you used different fluid if something breaks. Plus, something as small as different fluid shouldn't void a warranty. Unless your dealer is a jack a$$.

I use Mobile 1 75W-140 and the manual even recommends it (not Mobile, but syn)

No effect on warranty

75w-140 is for towing right? I don't tow anything right now.

You're also about to save 200 bucks doing it yourself. I just did mine using Royal Purple 75W-90. It couldn't be easier.
