Winch and Bumper Combo

I just ordered the Rugged Ridge XHD bumper with the winch plate. Looking to get the Warn VR10000. Does anyone have this combo? Was or is there any problem with the winch fitting on the bumper?

I don't have exactly what you are looking at but close. RR XHD front with full ends and hoop with a Warn VR8000 winch. Winch fitting to the bumper was a piece of cake - getting the bumper on the Jeep was a bit more of a challenge, but I did it single handed (would have been easier with 2)

Alright, thanks. Just ordered the winch today. That and the bumper should be in middle of next week. I'll post pictures when everything is on.

Did your front end sag a lot with the extra weight?

Not at all, but I do have a TerraFlex 2.5" lift on - so that would help with any sag that may have happened.

I have this same set-up, using a Smitty Bilt Sr8000 winch. The front went down a little bit, but not much, and not enough to bother me. Mine is stock height, stock springs, etc....

You should be just fine, and if/when you lift it, you can compensate then.

Ok, thanks for the link. I figured that's what it was. I was looking to construct something similar.

This is my Warn Elite with Grill Guard tube mounted with a VR10000. I accomplished this within the last couple weeks for a total of $1100 shipped for everything, both Winch and Bumper. A good full width and winch for a good value I think.

Correction. I just looked up my invoice to be sure and it was $1139.00 exactly.

1 W36 86255 Winch_Vr10000 579.99
1 W36 87750 Elite Series Front Jk Jeep Bumper W/ Grl Guard Tu 559.01
_________

Total $: 1139.00

Contact WarnFactoryOutlet dot com. This is not Warn themselves but an authorized retailer. They are a division of Jeepadons.com out of Kentucky You have to either call them or go on to their online chat to get a further discount quote. Buy them together and they will cut you an additional discount off the two combined. Wasn't much. Like 5-6 bucks. But their prices beat anybody that I know of so most of it is just simply that. My local wouldn't budge off his prices and would have cost me nearly 400 bucks more. I had the winch in one day. Had to wait like 2 weeks on the bumper (it was over the holidays too)

Were you able to use the factory stock fog lamps with this bumper? Your rig looks really nice, btw. Congrats!

Yep. Those are the factory fogs. You do have to lengthen the fog lamp harness wire on one side (its 2 wires) but the bumper comes with that wire and some crimp on connectors to do it. And you have to slightly enlarge the holes on the lamp attachments themselves to 1/4 inch to use the supplied bolts to attach them to the supplied mounting brackets. It comes with everything you need to do this.

Thanks... its coming along and its simple. Not a lot of frills. Not a lot of show. Just simple and clean.
