Winch on factory bumper

Does anybody here have a winch on your JKU without an aftermarket bumper? I'd like to put one on my JKU but I do not want to install aftermarket bumpers right now. What are my options?

You just need a winch plate for your stock bumper, then install the winch. No need for an aftermarket bumper.

Mounting a winch this way also keep the majority of debris out of it. Being covered is the way to go imo.

I used a Rought Country mounting plate for the JK stock bumper, I'm really happy with the way this turned out. I've had experience recovering heavy vehicles (retired Armor/Cav) and in my limited experience, I want my winch up where I can get to it and not do the mud diving to attempt to get everything set to self recover. But then, that's just me.

Smitty OEM front bumper winch mount. XRC10comp. I've used it. Works like a champ.

Awesome, so there are aftermarket solutions that let you do this exact thing? Cool.

The Rough Country mount looks awesome. I wouldn't p*** on their suspension systems if they were on fire...but that winch mount they make looks alright. Thanks guys...I might have to try that out.
