window tracks

My windows in my JK go down on there own about a half roll when hiting mild highway bumps and holes. Is there a way to tighten the tracks to correct this?

I don't think it can be tightened, sounds like a cable or something is broken. Best option would be to take the door panel off and see what you cn come up with. Or take it to the dealer if its still under warranty.

It is under warranty. I was hoping it was a quick fix. I believe its because the handles are all in a position to bounce downward. I think if i just remove and reinstall the handles facing down it will fix it. What kind of a project is reoving roll down handle

I believe it is pretty hard. I think you have to pull on it harder than I'd feel comfortable with

I thought you just feathered a cloth in between the panel and handle and slipped out a clip, then pull off the handle...hmmm.

Mine will come down a tad over time but not enough to let air in. I just notice the lines on the windows dont line up from time to time.

Really!

My back windows do the same thing..especially the left side, PITA. I will have to pull off the door panel in the spring and see whats up.

Very nice, glad it didn't include a trip to the dealer.
