It's rained a lot here in the last few months. Rain, snow, ice, road salt.

I'm going to try Wipe New.

I was wondering about this stuff too. 2 years seems like a long time for the shine to last, but I guess you don't know until you try it. I found this review that says it works pretty well: Wipe New Review but I am still apprehensive about infomercial products.

Let us know how it goes for you. If it works, I'll give it a shot too.

Yeah drives a pretty ugly Suzuki so he's not to worried about we live 45 miles from work so it gets beat up he doesn't care, so if the bumper looks spotted he doesn't care and I can throw the stuff away lol I think wipe new is going to work, if it does then I got to finish the rest of his car! Ha ha ha

Like I said I'm open to trying things so we will find out as soon as we get some warmer weather. Ill deff be posting back after I use it and let everyone know if its worth it.
I use Back to Black on my wife's 2011 on the fender flares, bumpers, hard top, mirrors and hood latches. I last applied it in September of 2012 and the water STILL beads on the fenders and top. It's been through at least 10 washes since then, too, not to mention rainstorms and snow.

The only caveat is that I apply a GENEROUS amount -- which is to say I used 3/4 of a new bottle on her JKU. But I only apply it twice per year. It's going on almost 2 years, and it's seen a lot of weather, washes, and sun. Everything still looks factory new (when it's clean, anyway).

Sounds like there are a few other products to try. Will be curious to see how these all work. Now we need warm weather here in Tennessee so I can get to work on applying this stuff

Come further south if it works. Lol.

Plain old peanut cooking oil works great. It also works great to take off the white wax residue from your mirrors and black plastic trim.

That game was rough. I don't know if the titans were that bad or the bears were just lucky. I'm thinking lucky because we got our asses handed to us when we played San Fran so I bet if they play again it will be a much better outcome for you, only concern I have for you is is Locker really the answer at qb?

I use Back to Black also and apply it generously like you do. I also use a automotive sponge (Walmart $1 or so) to really work it in, let it dry and then wipe off. I love this stuff and highly reccomend it.

So, any update?
I'd like to maybe try this stuff on my dash. Florida sun is rough on it.

Fill us in on it, I'm open to trying anything. As long as it lasts longer then a couple weeks its worth me checking out. I'm all about trying different products. I'm still waiting for it to get warm so I can try the wipe new.

its a spray on product: Vinylex 1215 Protectant Spray 16.9 oz. (500mL) : Amazon.com : Automotive

As you can see it gets amazing reviews. I've been getting about a month out of each application on the flares and whereever else I use it. Cleans up the weathertech mats in a snap, and leaves a waterproof shiny layer on top. Really good stuff.

Hmmmm... Vinylex is made by Lexol... Must be good is it's anywhere near as good as their leather products... Gonna have to pick some up. Polish up the bumpers when I give my 2012 JKUS a good wash down... She's been looking kind of dirty lately... Might be time for an annual bath.
