Wiring your Windshield Mounted Lights

I like the Lights I saw in another thread that were mounted up next to the windshield, but cant fig. out are the wiring for the lights ran through a hole drilled or through a crack in the hinge area, Can some one explain it or post a pick showing it?

I'm no wiring genius but its simple. I loosened up the panel in front of the windshield and ran the wiring under it to either side next to the light mounts that simply screw into the windshield provided points. There is a tiny 'lip'/indentation in the panel that allows the wires to easily pass. Its really easy......

^ hes refering to the cowl which is the part that goes under the windshield.Loosen up a few screws and you can tuck in the wires behind it.

I did mine to the battery so it wasn't dependent on having other lights on. I'm not an electrician but I did a lot of research first and no problems after three weeks.

Are you talking about how to run the wires into the cab? If so, it's simple. There are a number of holes through the firewall. Easiest would be to remove one of the side panels on your dash (see last photo in Yella's post...that's one of the side panels).

With the panel off you'll see a quarter-sized hole with foam in it. Remove the rubber filler cap from the engine bay side, straighten out a coathanger, tape the wires to it, and fish em through to the cab.

so you wired the yellow and the white to the battery directly.....
I was thinking that but the wanted it to be only able to come on when the ignition is on but need a spot near the battery...........

Make sure you fuse any circuit you attach to your battery.
