With Power Door Locks, is the Tuffy Enclosure Deck Useless?

I currently run a soft top and decided to buy a Tuffy Enclosure Deck as one of my first purchases so I can store some things securely.

JK Security Deck Enclosure Jeep Wrangler, JK

It occurred to me today that it wouldn't be that difficult for someone to unzip the back windows and climb forward, or if the soft top is down for them to reach in and unlock all doors with the auto door lock; which also unlocks the trunk.

Did the Jeep just outsmart Tuffy?

Is there a computer setting for the Power door locks that unlocks the side doors but not the trunk?

If you reach in any car with the doors locked and unlock the door the alarm should go off

But does it still unlock? I'd try it with the windows down but I just got the rig tinted today and I can't roll them down for a few more days.

I just read in the manual the power door locks won't work after about 15 seconds if the security system is armed. I guess I will test it tomorrow and see if I have it. Haven't really paid attention to the dash when out of the Jeep.

I noticed the quickest way to tell if you have the security system is to just sit inside it and lock the doors with the key fob. It you have it a red light will blink rapidly above the tachometer then after the time it takes to arm it will blink much slower. I tried this myself the other day and the power door locks don't work after the 16 seconds it takes to arm and If you pull a handle on the inside the horn goes off and the lights flash

X2 this. I have testes with mine and this does work. It seems the Jeep engineers thought this one through. The only way to open the tailgate after the 15 second timer is to power unlock the doors (with the remote) or use the manual key.

I hope you didn't hurt yourself jamming them up against the controls like that.

Ouch.
