WOO-HOO! Paid Off My Jeep Monday! It's Mine, It's Mine!

When I bought my Jeep last year, I traded in my Car, sold my Bike and put the money towards the Jeep Payments, and I have been paying Double-Payments since then! Finally paid it off on Monday. Now I'm just waiting for the Title!

Oh..... this Pay-Off created two problems for me! First, I had the Double-Payments in the Budget, and since I'm through Modding my Jeep, I had nothing to spend it on. I had to quickly allocate the Funds elsewhere, before the Home Financial Manager called Dibs! Secondly, I had an Empty Spot in the Driveway!

Solved both problems that same Monday afternoon:

Who says I'm not a Pirate?

Cheers!

Congrats man and good thinking to pay your loan off early. I can't afford to pay double my monthly payment but I am paying more than it each month and hope to pay off my loan in one less year than planned.

Try not buying one until you have all the money to pay for it.

Pretty much done Modding my Jeep the way I want. I've got a few more cosmetic things I'm looking to do, but nothing like Lift Kits. I like going off-road, just not Rock-Krawlin' & Stump-Humpin'. I did my Mods early, starting the first day I got it! Now, I've got the TOY I've always wanted for the last 35 years!

ESP123!

Yeah, actually, my wife and I had been discussing getting a third vehicle for awhile, to travel with... a Hwy Rig. As a Home Owner, there are always times you NEED a truck to haul Landscaping Rocks, Bricks, Lumber, Appliances, Furniture, etc. Then there are times when you just want to travel comfortably. The Frontier takes care of both of those bills. The Jeep is a Jeep, and not made for long distance hauls, with a creaky old sailor at the wheel. I need Long Distance Comfort! My wife's car is a Suzuki SX4 Crossover Wagon, and it's good for short hauls and especially around town, it's just not comfortable for my 6'1" body on Long Trips.

Our Mortgage is on a Bi-Weekly Plan, where we pay half of the Mortgage twice a month. This equates to an extra payment twice a year. On a 30-yr Loan, we'll have the house paid off in 24 vice 30-yrs.

Thanks for the Congrats, Shipmates!

Cheers!

Congratulations! In this economy no payments = good sleeping at night and more hair!
I paid cash for mine after paying $500.00 a month to a bank for my Toyota for 3 years!
Cash is king and no debt is better than s#x!
