Tried to take a pic tonight but the lens kept fogging up! I'll take some in the morn. I'm so excited I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight!
I guess I can change my tag line now....no longer counting down the days!

Congratz Candy803!

I recently purchased my New 2010 Jeep and the $500 Mopar bucks covered my Nerf Bars (black) on both sides of my 2dr model; would have cover chrome ones but I didn't care for them.
(running boards were even cheaper.)

That's good to hear. My little ones (5 yr and 10 yr old) will have an easier time getting in with them on. Do you have the slush mats? I want those to.

Oh! And congrats to you on your new Jeep!

Congratulations on your new jeep, I don't have little ones and needed the 4 door for its towing capacity, I am super happy with it especially the ability of my passengers to easily get in and out. With young ones this will be an especially good thing. I have had mine off the beaten path and I find it quite capable. It does however get away from the traditional look of the jeep and for some purists, that is just sacrilege! I think, generally, most four door owners are happy with their purchase. I think I've seen a few exceptions in posts on the forum.

So...hopefully we will see some pictures soon. We love pictures.

Good luck with your new jeep. Let the love begin.

Don't forget to wave.

Most of all, have fun and get it dirty soon.

Thanks jk'n!
I had an 82 cj5 years ago. I have to admit that I considered the 2 dr because to me when I think wrangler that's what I see but, my big boy is tall and I needed the room. I am very happy to broaden my mind like Jeep broadened it's Wrangler!

I'll post pics asap.

Thanks everyone for the congrats!

Dumb question

can you ride with the top on and just windows out? and if so, can you just lay the windows in the back? I want to take the boys for a ride but, it looks like rain.

^^I do just put the windows in the back sometimes instead of rolling them in the Clover Patch. They don't flap around too much, but may get a little scratched.

Yes you can ride with the top on and the windows out. Right now I have my doors off and windows out, but top up. Keeps you a little shaded.

No death wobble here yet. Knock on wood. Mine is completely stock, which helps.

35000miles on mine...no death wobble.

After owning it for two years, I don't worry too much about my windows. I don't abuse them or anything. I have a Mopar bag to put them in. I usually do that when I take them out. Sometimes I just set them in back. Try not to slide them on each other. Especially with a lot of road dust as this will act like sand paper. I have rolled my rear window and used the provided elastic straps to hold it up. After doing that a few times, I noticed that it has scratched them up pretty good near the straps. I don't ride with them that way any more. I'm going to try some plastx on them to see if I can bring them back a little. Not a major concern they still work as intended and can be seen through just as well but I know it is there and want to improve how it looks. While mine were new I tried to keep that new look as long as possible. Eventually that will slip away...just a matter of time....if you own the jeep that long.

Thanks for the replies! I thought so but, thought I should ask before I just went out there and took out the back window. Tomorrow I'm gonna take the top down and give the dog a ride. I was going to wait til I got the slush mats but, I've been telling her I would take her for a ride for a month!

I will stop thinking about the DW. I have enough gray hairs!

Congrats...we just got our 2010 Rubi last sunday and shes already topless {pics in the pic section}.

We got the slush mats, bike rack, billet gas cover, and the trail kit with our Mopar bucks. Even had a little left over for cleaning supplies.

Congrats to you too!

I already got my 1st return wave!

the mopar Bucks are burnin a hole in my pocket! I'm going by tomorrow to get a tutorial on taking the top down and use my MB! Also they're giving me some gas and going to clean her for me. Didn't have to ask for any of this which was pleasantly surprising!

How much were the slush mats if you don't mind my asking?

Congratz & Welcome to the Forum!
I went with the "X" Mountain Edition! instead of of Rubicon. At the end of the day, it's YOUR choice & YOUR money! Rate Vehicle Type VS actual Usage & Bang for your buck1
