Would this fuel door fit on my 2011 rubi?

hey wondering if anyone knows if this lockable rugged ridge fuel door would fit on my 2011 wrangler, rubicon, 2 door.

cheers,
looks like a good price, most I have seen are over $100 with shipping to Canada added eh.

may pull the trigger if anyone can tell me if it fits

cheers

I don't know which one your looking at but I have heard some say the locks are a piece of crap. Since you must be from Canada, i would go with a regular door with a locking cap...keep the snow and ice off from the lock.

Have you checked with your dealer for a door? I have the mopar one that is nice and you would save on shipping costs.

I don't have any pictures of it installed but I will try to get you one. The install took 5 minutes at most.

Its just a mailbox type lock. Hopefully enough deterence to make the theaf go to a different tank! haha!

I think it looks nice too.

what kind of lock does the mopar model have?

I was at the Jeep dealer last week and they did their best to talk me OUT of the mopar gas cap and they didn't have the gas flap to show me.

Thinking of the door latch model, but want one that uses ignition key. Any links?

I don't know if mopar makes a locking gas door. I purchased the locking mopar cap from dealer for 25 bucks. I heard some aftermarket models do not seal well and triggers gas cap light. No probs. with mine!

Does the Mopar cap set to the ignition key?

I got a RR non locking one. Looks great, the problem is the magent fell off within a month and sometimes it comes open depending on what you are doing. I sell RR parts, there "ok" not a top quality kinda business in my opionion. There not a big company and it shows sometimes when you need to deal with them directly. They hit it on the head with the XHD bumper system but alot of the stuff I have sold and installed from them is a 4-6 on a 1-10 scale. I once contacted them to give me the mini flyers for there TJ and JK products, I was told there was a part number for them and had to order them. I was buying a couple grand a month from them and they couldnt give my some books. The best is the 2007 and 2008 flyers they send with there product when you buy from them. I no longer push RR products at my store, If i wasnt able to buy there stuff at a Jobber type pricing profile I wouldnt buy it at all.

Just bought the Rugged Ridge Stainless locking hatch in black. I'll have pics as soon as I get it on in about 1/2 hour when I get home. I'll post the before and afters here. As to whether or not it fits, you can go to the RR web site, look up the part, and find out. I usually do my window shopping at Quadratec and they also tell you which parts are right for your yr/make/model. My only added thought is to put something like 3M 8008 around the outer edge to form a weatherstrip seal between the hatch and the body panel, as well as to add to the adhesion factor.

Here is the RR locking latch door pre and post install on my '09 Sahara JKX. I added the 3M 8008 around the housing. The only downside I note is that the lock/keys aren't pre-tested, so there _really_ tight... I expect a little time will take care of that.

I e mailed the dude that sold me my jeep and asked him if mopar jeep gas cover can come with ignition key lock, and for a price estimate, if hos price sucks I will grab the rugged ridge one off e bay for cheap.

how much should this stuff cost anyway I have seen massive price fluctuations

I paid $65 (US) for mine ^above^ from Quadratec. I did add the 3M8008 sealant around the edge just because I want to make sure not to get condensation, water, or ice between the end of the latch cover and the body.
