LOL, you guys must be young whippersnappers. Back when I was young and all us poor kids were driving early eighties hand-me downs, my new wife brought an 82 Celebrity into the marriage. Her dad had just bought it and showed up with it. Beige exterior, red inside. And that was how they used to do colored interiors at GM -- it was like they took a spray gun and just laid it down on everything but the instrument panel. Here's a Citation, but the Celebrity interior probably came out of the same parts bin.
OMG.uke: About the only redeeming (maybe) quality of this Generic Motors interior is the crotch vent. The old crotch vent was awesome before the advent of vented seats. Interesting design concept going with the "square" interior theme but still using round gauges. Some bean counter must've said use up the bazillion round ones they had before fixing that clashing look. I hope the maker of that JK bastardization is getting some cerebral assistance.

That interior is so amazing, you had to post it twice
We had a mid 70's Monte Carlo. Candy apple red, white landau top and white interior...all white except I think the carpet was dark red. No, my parents were not pimps.
That's pretty damn funny. My best friend's father had a tan Citation, with full-on green interior. Same friend unfortunately got a white Mustang II with the same damn red interior treatment as the pic you posted. We ArmorAll'd that interior to a full slippery shine
Maybe that's why this jeep struck a chord with me...
The level of despair that I feel right now at the thought of driving that citation around is past the Db measurement of a Spinal Tap amplifier at full power.
Back in the '50s and '60s if you bought a white vehicle, chances were it came with a red interior. Didn't much like them then, don't much like them now.
I am picking this up today only because they offered to throw in a deployable stripper pole that attaches to the hitch!
