Wrangler Body Upkeep

So, I've been abusing my wrangler a bit lately. And I feel bad. I've managed to flip it, drive it into and over some rocks and trees, and otherwise give it a good bashing. Overall, besides destroying the stock skids, I don't have too much damage to show for it. But I have a decent dent by the rear fender, and I managed to put another big dent in the upper part of my drivers side door. Not to mention a good amount of non painting scratching (and a few paint scratching) scratches.

So to treat my baby right, I was thinking of bringing it to a shop. Now seeing as how I've never had a car that had cosmetic issues I would ever pay money to fix (once replaced my wranglers rear fenders with bondo and rags), I don't know where to go. Do I look for a auto body shop? A car repair? A auto painter? A detailer? I have no idea where to start looking!

And yeah, I know trail damage builds character, but I'm still about 50 miles under the 5k mile mark. I've only done 2 oil changes on the thing!

Obviously it was a full barrel roll. Landed back on his wheels!

sneck, less than 5000 miles! I applaud your courage. I've got triple that mileage and I still grimace when I go through a narrow trail where the branches drag across the paint!

It sounds like you may want to learn to do it yourself...lol. But I would try to find a reputable body shop. Usually, you get what you pay for with those places (not always, but usually). But I'd love to hear some other's suggestions. There may be something I've never heard of.

That's a flop, not a flip. To answer you original question, take it to a detailer.

you're getting new doors? you swapping to halfs or you just decided you wanted a new color? And I would probably wait on the door, just because the cost of repainting vs just living with a ding, I'm a cheap bastard! plus, there was a guy on the other forum who was looking to swap his half doors (mango) for full, i wonder if it be worth it to take him up on the offer! lol

eh, gonna bring it to a detailer tonight, see what they have to say. I might just have them buff it out, and ignore the dents. I'll keep ya'll informed!

I promise I'll get it back to you in one piece! I mean, maybe with some glue and duct tape, but one piece none the less!

so, the guy quoted me 300 per dent, so i said hell no to that. but for 200, hes gonna do the body, and the soft top and windows, reglue my mirror, and repaint my bumper and rock rails. I think the guy thought he was taking me for a ride for 200; sucker.

I guess he couldnt see the huge gashes I put on my ace rails

hopefully itll be all good to go tomorrow!
