I saw a thread on this last week and I still think that paint job is cool. Dragons may be kind of cliche but I still think it's a sweet paint job.

Maybe the Chinese will receive it well.

That comes with the optional Douche-bag package. You also get a free year of hair gel and tanning.... But I really don't thing it looks too bad. I wouldn't buy it but I wouldn't frown upon it.

Saw it on another article that I can't seem to find now, but the coolest part is the LED(at least I think they are LED) head lights, turn signals and fog lights.

Yep, those are JW Speaker led lights. Currently they require very slight trimming i think and they're price as hell. I wonder if MOPAR will start selling them here.

I like it. Doesn't mean I'd buy. Just means I like it.

We are terribly quick to judge.... might not even be marketed in the West. Might be directed at cultures that respect the Dragon..... whatever.... I still like it

I'd totally rock that.

Trade in all of my non-work clothing for karate gi's & wooden sandels, start carrying a sword & speaking like Yoda.

Then after the wife files citing irreconcilable, I'll really start getting into it.

Regardless of whether you like or or not, THIS is a novel idea that will sell in China (and especially if made available in the ME/Gulf States)...and it will easily compete with the higher-end luxury vehicles there.

Well dump that bucket on my head and call me a Maineiac!

PS Really, given the choice of a stock sport and that - you wouldn't take it?!? I know I would. I used to rock my Mustang GT convertible in Kuala Lumpur when I lived there -- and can only imagine how awesome it would be to roll with that through Thailand, for example!

I wouldn't wave at that one ... It's more hummer than I would like ... hummer owners do that kinda crap... like wear DBag T-Shirts, orange tan's and too much hair gel...

Gotcha.

That´s right, the fogs are J.W.Speaker 6045.

AFAIK the sidemarkers front and rear aren´t J.W.Speaker. Have no further information on them.

That dragon decal and grille and the like would be pretty awesome if you just aftermarketed the beejesus out of it though--big lift, tires, armor, lights, traction devices, maybe a Rubi 44 or a PR up front, etc.

Straight from the factory, the whole dragon theme is a little preposterous given that it's just another stock jeep on par with every other stock sport and sahara out there. It'd be like if you painted flames on the side of it or something. But if you really ramped up the capability level then the paint job and decals suddenly become appropriate . . . .

I would rock it WITHOUT the dragon on it, the rest of it is nice.

I wonder if "Big Earl" penned that dragon, he loves dragons.

It's a rubicon
The Jeep Wrangler Dragon design concept is based on a China-market Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon

Didn't know that. Still, same argument. The COD for example "toughs up" the look of a rubi a touch. It works. This . . . well, it's got a HUGE DRAGON on it. It needs some truly spectacular capabilities to match the decals. Starting as a rubi certainly helps though. JMHO.

Why all the poo-pooing on the dragon? It's marketed in China. This being the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac makes perfect sense and the art on the Wrangler is a traditional Chinese dragon. I don't see a problem with it.
