Unlike putting "Rubicon" hood stickers on a non-Rubicon, I don't see any harm putting "Wrangler" hood stickers on a Sahara because a Sahara is still a Wrangler.
Though, its up to you if you want to make your Sahara be possibly mistaken for a cheaper Sport.
Do what makes you happy. I wouldn't put rubi on a non rubi either, but who really cares (except for a handful of rubicon owners who bought it just for the sticker and to feel like it makes them cooler). Slap a hellcat emblem on if that makes you happy.
Removed my sahara and Wrangler unlimited decals today. I will go custom as well. Most likely the American flag decals I've seen everyone getting. Love those.

I just did this, means Freedom in Gaelic... added the Stars and Stripes to round it out...
I took all the stickers off soon after I bought it. Just wanted to personalize it. 2.5 inch lift with black wheels are next ... among many other things!
On current models, the word Wranger is on the quarter panel in small letters not large ones on the hood. I believe some earlier models of the JK had the work Wrangler on the hood.
Of course it's not like anyone would confuse a Wrangler with any other vehicle on the road and that goes from the first YJ to the current JKs.
I have a Billet JKU & put "Sahara" across the hood. I went with dark gray (to match gun metal wheels) with burgundy trim.
Went thru pixiedecals.
I get a lot of compliments & inquiries on the decals.
I removed the "Wrangler Unlimited Sahara" from fender.
To remove, I used a hair dryer & credit card.
Followed up with Goo-Gone & a coat of wax.
