With my 7 hour old Wrangler JKU I was getting about 26mpg at 55 MPH, but then again, it was a DIESEL

I have a 2010 Unlimited Sport, 6 speed, 3.73 and the stock tires, with about 1,600 miles. I'm typically getting 19 MPG in my daily drive.

Oil changes at 6,000 miles? No way! My goal is for the motor to last as long as possible, not the oil.

Once the engine is run in you'll see better than that. I can return 28mpg crusing at 70mph.

I was getting between 18 to 20.4 on my Sport before the mods, now I can only hope it doesn't go below 15

I have a very perplexing MPG increase. After my new tires and adjusting it with the 87 tune on Superchips, I was getting 15.1 to 15.2 around town and it has maintained that for the six weeks since I put the tires on. A week ago I added the 1.5" wheel spacers and was expecting to maybe lose a 1/2 more per gallon but was hoping not. Well as soon as I left the shop (and I no the computer isn't exact but mine has been close for the most part) the computer started going up slowly until it hit 16.2 MPG and over the week it settled at 15.9 and has stayed steady. I did a trip reset a few days ago and just refilled tonight and it has figured at around 16MPG's.

So why would the wheel spacers help MPG's when all logic says otherwise? And I haven't done anything else to the Jeep other then add the spacers.

I have less than 1K miles on my Rubi unlimited and I got my best of 14.5MPG. I hope the milage will go up a little with more miles on the engine, but I plan to put bigger tires on it and lift, which will probably lowere it down :-(.

Are you in stop & go traffic? I have not as I can't imagine that's a good break-in. After 2500 miles I'm hitting 17-18 all-around driving which likely averages 40mph but not too many stops. When breaking in for the first 1000 miles I broke the speed limit a time or to to make sure I was hitting a good range of RPMs under load.

I think the mileage crept up just 1 mpg or so after break-in, but when I just picked it up I spent a lot of time idling while checking things out on my '11 JKU.

Since that seems to be a "I won't believe it till I see it" kind of remark and you are so quick to call BS on an answer that is given that you do not agree with I took some pics as I drove to work yesterday and this morning. These are the averages that the guage is showing. I know it is not exact/precise but it is higher than most JK Unlimiteds that I have seen and talked to the owners. As I said before, average varies from 17-19 city & 20-23 highway.

Believe it or not, no sweat off my bean bag.

JEEPNPR, can you get you Jeep over 40 mph and take some pics for us? I'm not suggesting you break the speed limit, but you should at least approach it.....especially if you're trying to support the argument for a "performance chip"!

No problem, I was driving thru town on most of those and the cops don't look kindly on you taking pictures while driving but I see your point. I actually thought of that after I down loaded the pics, they were all around the same speed.

'10 JK rolling 265/75 all-terrains. Currently getting 12.3, which I think is due in part to the cold weather and mostly city driving.

My MPG actually goes slightly UP when I engage 4WD.

Here you go, these were the highs, depending on grade, sometimes going uphill in 6th gear it would drop to 18-19. Tho even that is better than some of the mpg's some owners are posting.
