Xtreme 4x4 Magnaflow JKU

Anyone see the new Xtreme 4x4 today? Pretty cool jeep. Those axle housings looked beefy.

Interesting set up for the suspension. Has anyone done the Metalcloak and Daystar combo on here? How do you like it?

I saw it. I thought they left little to be desired with their lift setup compared to the axles and armor they slapped on there. Thing to remember though is they are pretty much advertising other peoples products, not really building for their own purpose. I am interested to see what they do with it next time in part 2 though.

I watched it. I really like the xrc armor fenders. But I have a full width rampage front bumper and don't think it'll look good with the narrow fenders and wide bumper. Also nervous about cutting the flare mounts off.

It was crazy to combine new currie axles and then put a 3 inch puck lift from Daystar on. Such a shame, but easy to fix.

The wrap they do next week should be interesting.

It seems like they usually do builds in stages. I'm not sure how the metalcloak lift works, but maybe you can install the arms, and then add the other higher end parts later...

I was watching it today off the DVR.

I was about to turn it off.

Then the axles came out.

I just don't care to much for how they did the lift, but when sponsors are in the mix, I guess you do what you gotta do.

Currie axles and MetalCloak arms, but a puck lift and 20" wheels. Is this really what MagnaFlow wanted?

But it's a show/marketing vehicle, right?

Do you really think it will see any serious offroad time? Maybe a demo in a parking lot or some type of 'built' obstacle course at an event. But no true off roading. They had sponsor parts they were getting for free to make it LOOK like a real offroad rig. Not because it actually IS a real offroad rig.

There was probably a ton of other marketing considerations behind the scenes that we don't even realize. Like Currie gave MagnaFlow the axles for free, and Magna Flow will put out an ad saying that Currie is their 'authorized' axle brand or something like that. That's how all those things happen. You wash my back, I'll wash yours.

Besides, this is TV we're talking about here!

It would be Xtreme if they put in a Maserati 404 HP Twin-Turbo 3.0L V6 and 8 speed auto trans.

I hated the huge Fab Fours bumper when it was sitting on the table, but on the Jeep it looked bad-ass. It blocks a lot of the radiator, though.

Same here. Saw it on the table and was very skeptical. I like the other jku he built much better. Oh well.

I thought it looked cool until I started looking at it closer. It was so obstructive and way too busy!!

I saw that he used a windshield bracket that mounted the lightbar to. I believe he said it was from Rampage, but Im unable to locate it online. Anyone seen it? I was thinking of working something similar off the Genright windshield bars....

They're always saying "if you want to know more about the products we use on the show, go to powerblocktv.com". I bet with a little digging you could find what you're looking for.
