Yet another rim question

Okay, so I've finally purchased my Jeep. I can't stop grinning over driving my 08 JKU.

Anyway, time for rims and tires. I've settled on 265/70/16 tires. Now, I'm not sure what size rim to go with. I don't want to upset the factory specs too much simply because I don't want to spend the cash on that right now. What size rims would any of you guys recommend. I initially thought 16x8, but I'm not sure if that's wide enough. Should I go up to 16x10?

Currently, everything is as it was when purchased by the first owner. He got an X model and added a package that included the 255/75/17 tires. And FWIW, how wide are the rims on that if they are stock.

Any help once again from this newb is appreciated.

You can run those on your stock wheels easy, they're not even 31" tall and The Rubis come with stock 32" tires

If you're gonna get some aftermkt wheels, go for 16x8s I've run a lotta 265---tires onem, just make sure you get 4.5" backspace, then later when you put on probably bigger tires--it' AOK !

Good luck

JIMBO

10.43" wide tire, you do NOT want a 10" wheel.... Like Jimbo said, a 16x8 will be perfect.
