As much as I hate to admit it, the stock spare tire carrier on my JK wasn't up to the task of adequately supporting my 35" tire and wheel. So, today I broke down and bought this:
I noticed that the tailgate was beginning to shut funny. Somethings I had to slam it to close. Obviously it was starting to tweek. The install took about an hour.
As much as I hate to admit it, the stock spare tire carrier on my JK wasn't up to the task of adequately supporting my 35" tire and wheel. So, today I broke down and bought this:
I ran on the highway for a couple months okay stock, but as soon as I really started wheeling hard at Walker it started to fail. I like this new mount because it's strong as hell, doesn't require opening a swing mounted tire carrier as well as opening the tailgate, and didn't require a big, expensive rear bumper and swing mount combo.
Have a good day boys, I'm heading to Tahuya to see what I can break. LOL
