neither, but out of those two I would go with zone.

look at Rock Krawler, Rubicon Express, Synergy, Teraflex, etc. dont go cheap on suspension.

Agree, don't go cheap. On my 2012 JKU I had Rough Country 3.25" lift. First jeep and first lift. Sounded like a good idea at the time, although I had no issues after 25,000 miles signs of fatigue. I have since traded it on a new 2014 JKUR-X which I will be installing a MetalCloak 3.5" lift.

X3 for neither. Consider the ones Tweak recommend plus AEV and Currie. Your suspension is the foundation of your Jeep don't cut corners on it.

Can't go wrong with AEV/Rock Krawler/Teraflex/Metalcloak.

Even with it being just being my mall crawler lol. I was trying to keep it under a 800$ budget.

Zone. It's made by BDS and is actually a pretty decent entry level lift. It's not totally complete but you can buy a few parts to make it complete

Stay at 2.5" or under. You effective lift will still be 3.0". You'll save yourself extra expenses in the future and the cheap lifts get worse with more lift.

One thing you're not considering is the installation time/cost is the same regardless of the cost of the lift kit. If the cheap one breaks or you don't like it, then you will have to spend time/money again to fix it. Cheap stuff can be expensive.

There is a lot of malls out there with some tough terrain but nothing a 2.5" lift can't handle.
