'02 hard top on a '97

i have an '02 hard top that i picked up last year. it came with the wire harness, winshield resevior and buttons. i tried to install the harness last year but the connectors were different. i'm going to order a 97-00 wire harness off quadratec if i can't find just the harness here soon. my question is, will the connector for the rear of the hard top off of the 97-00 harness plug right into my '02 hard top with no issues or will i have to split wires and soder the harness i have right now to the '97 harness?
