03-06 dash into a 00 TJ?

I was wondering if anyone has installed the newer (03-06) center dash bezel and switch plate into the older TJ (97-02). I could use one more switch and power port. Thought that this might be worth looking into. Also is that an ash tray on the right of the forth switch, can't really tell form pics I've seen. Also just another idea I am pondering is to install a second set of three switches and power port in place of the stock ash tray in my 00. Has anyone done that mod? Thanks Dave

Could just get the Daystar vent switches. You could gain up to four switches easily by going that route.

I made a panel to go in where my ash tray is on my 98. holds 8 switches. I still have the original 3 switch block with cig lighter on the left side. As far as I know, the newer jeeps did not come standard with an ashtray, they have a solid panel there if the smokers group wasn't ordered.

I was orinally thinking of doing the second switch block to have two cig lighters, but I needed more than three additional switches.

That block with two cig lighters from OTRATTW looks awesome...

KMS that is a sweet switch panel, I wonder how you could get pricing on that thing as there are no links to it on the site.

This is what I was looking for DIY and budget friendly http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/2nd-...a-tj-5879.html
