I recently have noticed a drop in my gas milage on my jeep from 260 to about 240ish some times less per tank......i run a 4 inch short arm lift and 33 inch tires its a daily driver and just wonder if any one would have suggestions on where to start trouble shooting this or if its just something that happens over time.
tune up was done right before winter. the cold was what i was thinking it was too because this is the first winter with the lift too thanks for the input.
Does your part of the country switch fuel types in the winter like many do? If so, that's very likely the reason for your drop in fuel economy. There is slightly less energy content in some winter formulations so fuel economy suffers.
How long have you had the 33's? Did you account for the speedo being off, or replace the speedo gear when you put them on? Also like JD'sDream said, warm up uses gas that we don't often consider. Or sitting waiting somewhere with it running, when we'd shut down if it were warmer. (Like me, sitting at the bus stop everyday).......
Check to see if you pumped fues with methanol. that will reducee mileage, too.
