'04-'06 Unlimited soft top question...

I've owned this thing for 3 years now and still have a hard time putting up the soft top by myself, to the point that I just take the whole damn thing off for the summer and ride with a safari top/duster/windjammer combo. Not that I don't know how to put it back up, I just don't know how to "easily" by myself. I guess because it's longer than a standard jeep top, the top is heavier and it tends to get cumbersome putting it back up; trying to get it to the point where the release pins will click in and lock it in is the hardest part. Once there the rest is easy. Any tips you guys can give me?

p.s. I've got the sunrider top

Stand on the rear bumper and lift the top up from there. Once the last rib is up, use it to push the top forward. This will get it far enough that gravity will sit the front down on the windsheild rail. Then, hook (don't latch) the front, install the rear corners, lock the release pins, etc.

I've done it many times by myself this way with no real problems. I have an 04 LJ.

Thanks I've done this before but always feel kinda funny standing up on my bumper, feel like everyone's staring at me as I struggle to get the soft top back up while everyone in their SWB jeeps just easily flip theirs forward.

It's a lot easier to do the LJ top than the old school snaps.. ugh.

I always did my top like MC does. If you can get the latches in place to give you essentially the extra hand you need, the rest is cake.

I broke one of my latches... how do you replace that thing? I go to the parts house and they look at me like I'm nuts when i ask for that little pin.
