04 Jeep Sport. process of purchasing

Ight fells, went and looked at an 04 jeep today. Frames in really good shape, no rust, repairs. Tires have decent tread, spare is new. Body is in very good condition. AND, comes with hard and soft top. Thats everything that i expected. What i noticed when i got there. Metal bolt in the rear axel!! Wasnt expecting a d44, but other than that alls it had was a random detail on the hood, from the windshield to the nose, basically 2 squigly lines. From what i can guess its an apex edition? but it has cloth black seats. from what i saw the apex had leather.... if anyone knows anything about them lemme know. Other than that stuff its got 77500 miles, 5 spd, and they were asking 12990. Its down to 11500 Lemme know your thoughts on it!

Sounds great, if it runs out good. The D44 is worth a lot, as is the hard top.

I have an 04 tj. Solid jeep so far. A few replacements, biggest being the clutch. I wheel it moderately in spring and summer. I also just learned mine has the D44 in the rear. Trust me man you won't be disappointed. Also the price sounds about right, compared to mine that is but I only got a soft top. If everything looks good, do it. Solid jeep! Hope you enjoy it

Knapp016, sounds almost identical to my 04 that I bought just over 2years ago for about the same price & like Techflork said..."Solid jeep...A few replacements"... Suspension issues(LCA, Swaybars), rear brake & a few leaks (axels) was what I found when I bought mine. The dealership took care of most of them (other than the LCA's). If you've driven it & all appears to work right (shifting, 4wd hi/lo, braking, etc) I say go for it & Good luck.

You know you drive a TJ when you have the parts for the mod, the right tools for the job, a BFH & still need a Sawzall to get the job done!
