So I have been on here a lot lately, and I think I have decided what I'm going to do to my jeep. It has the D35 axle, so my gearing is 3.07 (I think...i see a 07 on my gearbox?). Will I need to modify ANYTHING else on the vehicle if I put the 2.5" RC lift on and put on some 32" tires? I want to go 33, but with my crappy gearing, its just not possible, and Im not looking to spend a ton to re-gear it. I dont plan on rock crawling or intense mudding, but I will be taking it offroad at my buddies farm from time to time. I dont want to spend all this money on tires and wheels and a lift kit just to realize I have to break into my college savings acct to buy parts so that I can drive my jeep!

I was in a similar situation with my civic when i was thinking about turboing it....they said it was like $3500 installed, and then once i started asking lots of questions, I quickly realized there was going to be about $2000 in other "must have" parts....

Also, I realllllly like the Mickey Thompson signature series wheels (the matte black ones).. should I get the 10 or 8" wheels? I like the look of wide tires, but I dont want to create more problems for myself with backspacing and what not...

THanks sooo much for any/all help!!

Things to consider:

2.5" might need a front adj track bar.. do not drill a new hole for your stock one if the directions call for that.. its a bandaid over a bullet hole.

Get an alignment after the lift it is done.

As for rim size for a 32x11.50 the 8" rims if geat, works between tire from 10.50-12.50.

I ran with some guys a few years back in YJ's with 33's and 3.07's.. had to give it more gas on hill climbs but did okay, and still had fun. Not sure how it was for everyday.

Just fitted Silverstone 31x10.5x15 (measure in just a tad under 32 by the way) with a 2 inch BB kit. Used standard Jeep Wrangler rims. Tires rub on full lock and/or articulation, fitted 2 washers both left and right steering adjust, still rub .... not too much though. Have noticed a HUGE jump in fuel consumption (can physically watch the gauge move, It's a Jeep thing) and would rather not exceed 80km/h too and from events. Not too sure how to get my power back at this point, doing research on the matter. Have posted my stock standard just purchased jeep on my website, updated pictures next couple of days with lift etc.
