05 lj auto shifter removal

How do I remove the t handle on my LJ?

Try it in Neutral. Watch your face. But that's how it goes - straight up and off it'll come.

turn your key on and shift it into 1st, then apply the parking brake and pull hard. If it has never been off before it will take quite a lot of force to remove it.
