06 Rubicon seats for 02 Wrangler SE?

The seats on my recently purchased 02 are shot. Just saw an interesting listing on craigslist for a pair of 06 Rubicon seats. Listing says they should fit all TJs but I figured I would take advantage of the forum's experienced members and get a confirmation on that.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

I think they'll fit, but I'll let someone more experienced verify that. They will be lower to the floor than your current seats.... Not a big deal if you're tall, or even a bonus if you're really tall, but kind of a pain if you're vertically challenged (like me!)

Actually, a lower seat wouldn't be too bad. (I know my dog would appreciate it!)
I am assuming I would just mount the seats to my existing hardware. Thanks for the response!

I would assume so, but like I said, I really don't know. Someone with more knowledge than I will chime in soon, I'm sure. I just wanted to make sure you knew they were lower...

Thanks! I checked youtube. The fact that Mastercraft Seats does a separate 'how-to' video of 97-02 and 03 - 07 leads me to believe there is a difference in the seat design.

Yes, after reading some other threads, I believe they mount differently.... Sorry!

So far as I know, the seat's mounting bolt pattern on the floor is identical within all TJs. I would bet $$$ they would bolt in without issue. Newer seats are indeed lower so you may want to add 1" spacers and use 1" longer Grade 5 (10.9 or 12.9 if they switched to metric as many did in 2003) bolts to mount them with.
