Talking 06 Unlimited tow hitch option advice

Hi,
We have a stock 06 Unlimited and need to tow 1000-2000 lbs occasionally. Is there anything you have learned with regards to bumpers with integrated receiver or bolt on hitches negatives and positives? We drive alot of backcountry roads usually class 2 at the most at don't want any interference from the choice we make.
Thank You

My son purchased front and rear integrated bumpers for his '81 CJ-8 Scrambler and they were great. Rather than adding a hitch underneath the existing bumper which can decrease the departure angle (rear) or approach angle (front), it can keep the vehicle closer to the same level it was designed to be. On my son's '96 XJ, he didn't put on an integrated bumper and the Reese hitch underneath was "beat to death" at a Jeep Jamboree last summer. You may have a little more drop in the receiver to be level with the trailer you're towing, but I recommend the integrated bumpers.

I agree

I have an integrated bumper receiver. It will help alot on departure angels it can save you several inches out back and a bumber with it is a lot cheaper than buying a bumber and a hitch seperately. I do recomend buying one with the spare tire mount though, I am about to try and sell my bumper to get one with the tire mount.
