1" body lift on 4" suspension lift

any cons about doing this? I have a 4" short arm lift and a buddy said he would sell me a performance accessories or something like that 1" body lift. Would i have to do a motor mount lift with this? Also, what would happen with my shift area?....I have an automatic too. just wondering what could go wrong if i did put the body lift on.

Might need to extend your brake lines...motor mount lift isn't required but will make it so you won't need to raise your fan shroud and should also keep your linkages the same I think. If you don't need the body lift...I wouldn't bother...but if you need the extra clearance, I don't think there will be too many headaches from it. I personally would go ahead and do the MML though too.

I have a 4" suspension lift with a 1" BL. No MML needed, but I did one anyway, because I have a tummy tuck too. With 5" of total lift, I hope you are running at LEAST 35" tires, if not 37s. I run 39s on mine.

nothing wrong with a 4" lift and a 1" BL...lots of people do it. a MML is usually done with it, but not required. without the MML you need to modify the fan shroud. nothing happens with your shift area of the automatic...the auto is all cable driven, so no problems. the t-case linkage will need to be adjusted, but thats 5 minutes with a wrench and some PB Blaster. if you do the MML you'll likely need to adjust the linkage much less.
