1 or 2" lift

Hey guys, got a 2k TJ, pretty stock. I'm looking at liftin it 1 or 2 inches.
The kits i'e been lookin at (on Qtech) are coils, shocks, stops & spacers. Wondering if there is more parts I'll need to do with it.
Inputs welcome. Or other threads on this.
Thanks a Ton!

For a budget boost, spacer and shocks. Most BB are around 2"

Your stock front swarbar links will work, but some prefer to upgrade those too.

With a 2" BB... you can get away with your stock shocks. I ran this way for almost a year with no issues... even wheeled it pretty good with swaybar disconnects. Unless you need shocks....I would stick with what you have.

Was lookin at the full kit cause I'll need to do the shocks soon anyway. It'll probably be a while before I do the lift. Still got a couple other plans for her first. And their not dead yet, just nearing the end of their life cycle.
On the stabilizer links, is it the length of them, I would assume?

Lifting won't gain clearance. Lifting gains room for bigger tires, which gains ground clearance.

How big a tire are you looking at?

Just have wrangler streets on it. 225/75s. May eventually put somethin a little more aggressive on it. Still undecided. Plan on a hitch, rear shaft ujoints & front ujoints first

So a lift won't add clearance front to back? I get that it doesn't add clearance under the axles

It'll raise the bumpers and raise your belly up a bit. What they are saying is that you won't net any height at the axle, and you should only lift as high as you need toto.

this is true but with a good amount of time and not alot of money you can keep it low with big tires, like for instance 1" BL and sitting on 33s like my 97 TJ

I don't think the op stated the goal as big tires. I am wondering exactly what the end goal is.

Of course. I wasn't replying specifically to you. But I think inferno girl was simply stating that what a lift does do is give room for tires. And that tires are the only way to raise the axles. But not limiting the options as so.
