12 mpg?

Is getting 12 mpg around town normal?

It's a stock 2000 Wrangler SE, with a 2.5L 4 cylinder; automatic
New O2 sensors, recent tune up, and rebuilt fuel injectors...

Unless youre running some 37's I wouldnt think so.

Youre not going to see great numbers in a wrangler, but that seems to be on the low end of the spectrum for a stocker.

My 2000 TJ has the same setup except I'm running 31 10.50. My gas mileage is around 15 mpg.

I'm running a 4.0 automatic on 37's with 5.13 gears and average 15 to 16 on my rock crawler which is my normal everyday ride..have not checked my 2 yj's but they both seem to go a long time on a tank of gas..one is auto, one is 5 speed..both 4.2's ..all of mine are always f/s......

make sure your brakes are not dragging. I gained 3 mpg by making sure all my brakes were functioning correctly.
