'13 JK wheels on '03 TJ Sahara

So it's finally top-down weather in Michigan! I decided to Plasti Dip my new wheels before I installed them. I also dipped the headlight bezels.

The wheels/tires are take offs from a '13 JK Sahara so I installed Spidertrax wheel adapters to make them work.

I know most of you think I need a lift, and I probably do. But this baby is a mall-crawler for now. Once I decide to offroad, I'll throw a budget boost on her.

Alright dammit, its time for a lift. I'm heavily leaning towards the 2" Teraflex Budget Boost kit. Teraflex 001341200 - TeraFlex 2" Budget Boost Lift Kit without Shocks for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec

Do I need to do anything else? T-Case drop? Anything? I just want to make sure.

The TJ is 10 years old, with roughly 33K miles. If I need new shocks, should I just do them while I do the budget boost? If so, what shocks do you recommend? Again, im not much of an off-roader, but I would like some quality shocks. I'll probably take it out to a few beginner trails this summer. Nothing extreme.

Thanks everyone!

I have Jk rubi rims and tires on my 01 sport! looked much the same. I put on a JKS 1.25 inch body lift and a 1 inch motor mount.
very cheap. very affective.
Im putting on my OME lift soon!
and I can vouch for OME shocks. buddy of mine has some on his stock tj. WOW! really really nice quality shocks.
great lookin rig by the way!

That escalated quickly.....only about a week between "I know most of you think I need a lift, and I probably do. But this baby is a mall-crawler for now. Once I decide to offroad, I'll throw a budget boost on her" and "Alright dammit, its time for a lift. I'm heavily leaning towards the 2" Teraflex Budget Boost kit." Sounds like me.

Thanks for the info. Truthfully, I just want to know if I do the 2" BB, is there anything else I need to do. I dont want to deal with a T-Case drop, ect. Should I install new shocks with the BB? My TJ is 10 years old, still with my stock shocks. Again, super low miles though.

My plan is to do this right, one time, and not have to worry about it.

My son is on a quest for better gas mileage so he removed his 35" nitto mud grapplers & put some 2011 Mojave wheels now he has to much lift
