1998 Automatic Trans to Manual Swap?

Hey,

I have a 98 Wrangler sitting in pieces currently (frame swap). I absolutely hate the automatic transmission in it now and was thinking "hell, why not switch it while it's apart". Also my current auto 3 speed transmission is leaking everywhere and has some major issues. What all do I need to make the swap?

I know the engine computer is different, where could I grab one of those? EDIT: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-TJ-WRAN...r#ht_500wt_747

Also would it be a lot easier to do it now that everything is apart? My body is sitting on lifts and the drivetrain is on a trailer, it's literally all a part.

How much do you think this swap will cost me? I really do want to do it now that I think about it. Is it a hard swap?

Thanks guys!

When I say my transmission is taking a shit, I mean it needs a new seal or something little. I know people like the auto's for offroading. Straight trade anyone after I get mine fixed?

If you need the pressure plate, etc. I just bought an entire engine assembly that was a manual and will be putting it onto my auto. I will not need the parts and planned on selling.

Im looking at buying a 4.0 97 TJ this week. It has a manual trans in it and was really wanting an auto due to all my vehicles are a manual and have never owned an auto. How hard would this swap be? Im in MD.
