Do the cats have flow? Are the o2 sensors good? Without any other info my first guess on "red hot exhaust manifold" would be a lean condition created by bad sensor info and possibly compounded by additional factors. All if that is just a shot in the dark guess though without being able to see it.

Also, your thread title doesn't mention exhaust so the odds are that you won't get the kind of traffic and input you are seeking.

1998 tj exhaust problem

My 1998 tj's exhaust manifold was red hot. What could be wrong?
