Unhappy 1st time TJ owner, TPS problems...

hey there, so I took my '99 wrangler TJ muddin last week, now my check engine light is on and it seems like during acceleration it misfires, also idles a little low (cuts in and out, sometime even dies-rare). Autozone diagnosed it being a throttle postion sensor (TPS), so i went ahead and got it, changed it. took the proper steps of taking off battery connections, let it sit for 10 mins. Even with the new TPS its like i didnt do a thing to it, still misfires and check enginge light is still on and even reading same TPS code... not too sure on what to check into next. any input is greatly appreciated, thank you for looking and your help.

could be the map sensor as well, i wound up changing all three on the throttle body, then the cmp and the ckp. its a process and a pain in the butt. good luck.

What code did your TJ give you with the CEL? that's the question... and did the CEL go out?

Auto part store TPS, Chinese, are known to be junk. If the code calls for a new TPS buy one from the dealer. You get what you pay for when you try to save a few dollars.
